We Keep Us Safe: Film Screening

The new Chicago documentary “We Keep Us Safe” captures a year of organizing among immigrant communities and their allies in Chicago in defense of one another. The film centers on street protests, alliances among community groups, organizers, students, and faith leaders as they opposed the actions of federal agents, most notably at the Broadview Detention facility. It also documents collaboration between Chicago police, Illinois State Troopers, and ICE agents in crowd control operations.
